GoogleTagManager uses a particular type of javascript that hacks browsers, and sends to Google the IP address of every person who views or edits a page, which Google adds to its massive database of personal information. That function, which was intended to be kept secret, was leaked by a Google employee. You can defend against GoogleTagManager by using a dial-up connection, because it is much slower, and then, when loading a page, pressing the escape key before GoogleTagManager starts to load. GoogleTagManager loads after the basic hypertext loads, but usually <i> before </i> the stylesheets or embedded images load, so it is necessary to view pages without the latter two components.</font>
